October 2009
V.I.P. Kids celebrated the 2nd annual High Pointe Centre Fall Festival. On Saturday October 17th, 2009 the Shoppes at High Pointe had their fun- free -family oriented Fall Festival. Our modeling class students were able to perform a Fabulous Fall Fashion Show wearing their Halloween Costumes. Great Job Everyone!! Also, we thank all of our staff for making this a huge success event!!Thanks to Tammy Rael, our Vocal Coach Instructor and her family for offering Free Karaoke and Free Face Painting. Kids of all ages enjoyed painting a variety of pre-outlined drawings. We know you all had a GREAT TIME!!

V.I.P. Kids "Back to School in Style" and On Line "Fashion Show" recorded and interviewed by East Polk Lifestyles Magazine. One of our Modeling Class Student auditioned for a Walt Disney Resort TV Ad, luckily she was picked among thousands of kids who auditioned. In a couple of months we will be able to see this production. Once you watch it, let us know if you were able to find her... We will give you a clue....she is one of the Princesses, find out which one? Congratulations to Lucy! Well Done....

Ms. Garcia offered a special class on Exploring Artist Around the World! the kids loved it and learned a lot from her presentations and lessons. On the other hand, Ms. Nanette offered a variety of special lessons such as Embroidery, Drawing and Painting. We want to take this opportunity to thank our staff for such an excellent work. Special thanks to our assistants, Ms. Jeanie and Ms. Bree.

For the month of May 2009
V.I.P. Kids hosted a 10 week Kindermusik program. Ms. Amy Foltz the Kindermusik Instructor offered a wonderful class!
One of our Modeling Class Students received an Award from BCFD, Inc. She was honored with the "Rising Star Award". Congratulations Lucy!
For the month of April 2009
*Winter Haven YMCA Healthy Kids Day celebrated on Saturday April 18, 2009, V.I.P. Kids hosted free face painting. Everyone who participated was able to receive different goodies from different social responsible local companies and organizations! Special Thanks to Ms. Bree, Carrie S. and Grace V.!

*Winter Haven Christian School hosted their School's Spring Event, V.I.P. Kids donated a basket full of fine art supplies and Webkinz.
*Easter Party at High Pointe Centre, everyone who visited Winter Haven's premier shopping plaza on Saturday April 11, 09 was able to enjoy our Spring Party, lots of fun-free-family oriented activities and even prizes!
For the month of March 2009
*Recently here in Winter Haven, The Planter's Garden Club, hosted a fund raising activity and V.I.P. Kids donated a basket for their silent auction. Money collected will be used for different charities.
*Springbreak Extravaganza Art Week, at V.I.P.Kids we offered a variety of classes. Monday, March 30th thru Friday April 3rd, 2009 the students were able to learn: drawing, painting, 3-D Art, sculpture, table etiquette, theater-lessons, runway techniques and last but not least everyday we enjoyed a Fashion Show!
*Downtown Winter Haven Art Festival celebrated March 21 & 22, 2009 Two of V.I.P. students' art work were chosen by their respective Elementary Schools to be part of this Art Exhibition! Congratulations! Ms. Abby and A.J.!


*V.I.P. Kids sponsored a basket full of Webkinz for a silent auction. For a Gala and Music Celebration: 15th Annual Champagne and Shamrocks hosted by The Symphony Guild of Winter Haven and Main Street Winter Haven, held on Friday March 13, 2009 featuring The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
For the month of February 2009
*V.I.P. Kids helped sponsor an Around The World Tour by Karito Kids. An event hosted by The Learning Curve. On Saturday, February 28, 2009 Emma H. one of our former modeling and etiquette student was representing Gia the Karito Doll from Italy. Once the children joined the tour and arrived to our store, Gia welcomed them and offered them information about Italy, she stamped their passport for them to continue their tour here at High Pointe Centre. Nonetheless, the kids were invited to walk V.I.P.'s runway. Also, Brianna S. one of our modeling and etiquette student was asked to represent one of the dolls. *V.I.P. Kids helped sponsor a basket for a silent auction; full of Webkinz for Brigham Academy's Festival, here in Winter Haven, which was held on Saturday February 21, 2009. Congratulations to the highest bidder!
*Snow Party at High Pointe Centre, on Saturday February 14, 2009, we celebrated Valentine's Day with a snow party! Oh yes! So Cool! We offered free Karaoke, kids enjoyed singing their favorite artist as well as adults who dared to sing for us! Lots of Activities, lots of fun, thanks to all who participated and enjoyed our party!
*Casting Call for Kids, on Sunday February 8th, 2009 V.I.P. Kids hosted a casting call for kids for print advertisements and fashion show.

*Super Saturday hosted by the Junior League of Greater Winter Haven. On Saturday February 7, 2009, V.I.P Kids sponsored an arts and craft booth for this fun and learning event. Master Instructor Nanette Campbell was there sharing three of her drawings for this special event. It was awesome!
For the month of January 2009
*First Communion Fashion Show, on Saturday, January 24, 2009 our enrolled modeling students had the opportunity to participate in a real Fashion Show. The Fashion Show was fabulous, everyone enjoyed it.
Our models were: Helen, Nadgheli, AJ, Lizeth, Chloe, Mikexete, Haley, Samantha, Lucero, Brianna and Vanna.

Also, we would like to thank Heavenly Scent Florists who kindly contributed to our Fashion Show, they donated baby breath, the girl's hair looked wonderful!

For the month of December 2008
*Los Reporteritos, Univision Tampa, invited one of our modeling and etiquette students to participate in their December 25th, 2008 and January 1st, 2009, news broadcast as one of their "little reporters". She had to ask the President-Elected, Barack Obama a question. Did you find out what she asked him? Wahoo! Miss Lucy O.
*First Annual Award Ceremony. On Saturday December 20th, 2008; V.I.P. Kids presented awards to all of our modeling students that have been participating in our classes for at least a three month period.

Ms. Nadgheli P. received the most Outstanding Achievement Award, for completing one year taking our modeling and etiquette classes! She was our first student who started taking our modeling and etiquette classes in December 2007.
Congratulations to all of You!

*2nd Photo Shooting with Model Placement Center, Safety Harbour, Florida. On Sunday December 13th, 2008, from our casting call held on October 12th, 2008, a group of young models were chosen to participate in a great photo shooting. This photos will soon be posted here and other print advertisements.
*L'Atelier helped the Youth Group at St. Matthew Catholic Church. On Sunday December 13th, 2009; Miss Nicole S. helped the youth group to create great Christmas related ornaments with clay. The Youth Group is making a variety of ornaments in order for them to share with all the kids that will attend their Live Nativity Christmas Festival on Sunday December 21st, 2009, starting at 6:00pm. Well done everyone! Thanks for helping Ms. Nicole.

*First Annual Roar n' Soar Drawing Contest, given by the Polk Museum of Art and Fantasy of Flight. One of L'Atelier students was awarded 2nd place. The certificate was presented to Lucero O. on November 8th, 2008. For additional information, visit www.fantasyofflight.com. Her drawing is posted on the 7-9 years drawing winners. Way to go!
For the Month of October 2008
*Fall Festival at High Pointe Centre, Winter Haven, Florida. On Saturday October 25th, 2008 we participated in a Great Family Fun Day, lots of free entertainment. V.I.P. Kids allowed the kids to paint for free and also presented a Halloween Runway Show! Our models were: Helen, Haley, Zoie, Natalie, Claudia, Chloe, Samantha, Vanna, Nadgheli, Crystal, Lauren, Elizabeth, Katey, Lucero & AJ. Congratulations!
*Casting Call for Kids ages 18 months up to 12 years old. For print advertisement and fashion show. Great opportunity for kids to participate, Everyone was welcomed, no fees for participating. Model Placement Center was here to scout models and invite them to their modern facilities in Safety Harbour, Florida offering a variety of top notch services within the modeling and acting industry.

*Art Expo Winter Haven, presenting City of Lakes, organized by the City of Winter Haven Library, on September 7th, 2008. One of our fine art students was able to exhibit two of her watercolor paintings. Way to go Miss Lucy O.!
For the month of August 2008
*Polk County Leisure Division, organized a "Back to School Bash" at the Eloise Resource Center, Winter Haven, Florida, on Saturday August 9th, 2008. La Boutique presented a fabulous Back to School Runway Show . Our models were: Paris, Natalia, Claudia, Sarah, Lucero, Vanna, Amanda, Crystal, Courtney, McKenzie, Mandy, Samantha, Yeleny and AJ, the only brave boy who dared to model with all these beautiful and talented girls! Woo HOO! YES!
*Univision Tampa Newschannel, invited L'Atelier's founder and Instructor, Mrs. Sandy Altamirano for an interview with Mrs. Maria del Pilar Ortiz. The interview was pre-recorded on Tuesday August 5th, 2008 and was presented on Wednesday August 13th, 2008 at the 11pm Univision News Broadcast. The segment is called "Pilas Pilar Pregunta".
*Summer Program for Kids, at L'Atelier offered a fun weekly summer program. Very convenient, hassle free, lots of different activities offered during the kids summer vacation. L'Atelier offered: painting, drawing, sculpture classes as well as modeling and etiquette and theater classes. It was offered from 8am -6pm. Friday was their favorite day, we had a pizza party and a fabulous fashion show! oh yes every week!
For the month of June 2008
*First Photo Shooting with models chosen from our First Casting Call for Kids. Held on Sunday June 1st, 2008. We were invited to go to the Photo Studio of Model Placement Center located in Safety Harbour, Florida. For this photo shooting we had 5 great ballerina dancers, toddlers, infants and other kids up to 17 years old. WOW! what a crowd! It certainly was lots of fun, great photo posing jobs and great exposure for this models!
For the month of May 2008
*Kids Festival held Saturday May 10th, at Chain of Lakes Elementary School, organized by the Cypress Oaks Pre-School, Winter Haven, Florida. Entrance fee was $2.00 and all the activities were at no charge. A great variety of fun activities by different vendors and organizations. L'Atelier was able to offer the kids to paint for free.
*First Communion Apparel. We had the great pleasure to assist several families in the Winter Haven area select their first communion apparel. Some ofour students were participating in that special celebration! Congratulations.
For the month of April 2008
*First Casting Call for Kids for print advertisement and fashion show, organized by La Boutique on Sunday April 20th, 2008. Model Placement Center was at this event scouting new talents. Many kids showed up, there was no fees involved for participating. From this casting call, several kids were chosen to participate in the first photo shooting. From those photos, La Boutique choose some for advertisements; including business cards, ads in the Polk Kids Directory, Snip 2 Save and our website.
For the month of March 2008
*Spring Garden Party organized by the Junior League of Greater Winter Haven, Florida. This Elegant Spring Fashion Show Fundraiser Activity was held Saturday March 8th, 2008. Fashions by La Boutique and Casual Chic. La Boutique as well choose four of our modeling students to participate in this fashion show!
For the month of December 2007
*Breakfast with Santa, organized by the Junior League of Greater Winter Haven it was held at the Winter Haven Garden Center, Saturday December 1st, 2007. Great opportunity for the kids to meet Santa Claus, lot of fun activities, and some vendors as well. La Boutique participated selling great merchandise like bows, accessories, shoes, apparel and other quality merchandise. L'Atelier allowed the kids to paint.

Founders of Richport Haven, Corp, d/b/a La Boutique, L'Atelier and V.I.P. Kids
Creator of the Fine Arts and Modeling & Etiquette Curriculum

Richport Haven Corp. d/b/a La Boutique & L'Atelier, V.I.P. KIDS, was established in July 5th, 2007.
We are excited to open a business where we offer a wide variety of products as well as services. When a customer visit us, they are surprised with our well organized layout. We have modern facilities that accomodates its purpose. La Boutique, with all the apparel, shoes and accessories and L'Atelier, the art studio fully equipped for each class, drawing and painting. And last but not least, the modeling and etiquette classroom with a beautiful runway and very spacious and modern room.
The customer can choose from a variety of classes. Our future- our kids need to get involved with extracurricular activities. Our classes are not offered on a daily basis by any other nearby organization.
Our business is an inviting place for shopping as well as for taking classes.
We, are customer oriented business people, we treat our customers as we like to get treated ourselves, with respect, care and love. Remember, we are also parents who want the best for our kids as well as yours.
Therefore, our staff, are the best instructors-artists that we have met!
We carry good quality merchandise, we purchase good quality class materials and we are always available to answer any questions or concerns.

Jesus Otero (Jay) has a BBA, BA, and MBA. Over 20 years of retail / wholesale experience. He is bilingual (Spanish & English). Loving husband and father and very enthusiastic about sports, race cars and music. Let's not forget the grill!! Jay, is responsible for our store's set up, finances and purchases; great job!
Sandy Altamirano has a BA and an MBA , both degrees in the business administration field, with concentrations in Marketing and Human Resources respectively.
Trilingual (Spanish, English & French).
Over 20 years of retail and management working experience.
In 1977 participated in the first:"Miss Maja Infantil Pageant, held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. At that time, without taking any modeling and etiquette classes, was able to be among the 10 finalist.This experience open up a new world of self confidence and goal achievement.
In 1986 was able to participate in a foreign exchange program called AFS, where she lived in Belgium for one year. Very fortunate to learn another language, culture and to travel around Europe. Able to learn L'Atelier Method.
Very enthusiastic in particular about languages, cultures, fine arts, dance and modeling.
During her college years, was able to teach aerobics, very active as President and Vice President of various clubs such as the Inter-American Club, Spanish Club among others.
Was chosen two years in a row, to participate in the Model OAS, which allowed each University that participated to choose a country in order to represent it as it is in the real Organization of the American States (OAS).
Also, Modeled for a variety of social events and fashion shows. Enjoyed her college years even more, because was able to participate in a lot of the on going activities since, she was hired by the Public Relations Office at Trinity University, to be one of their photographers. Her internship was awesome! To help in the development of marketing strategies for Rory's Music, a well know children's singer in the vicinities of Washington D. C., Maryland and Virginia.
After graduating from her Master's Degree, she got married and was able to establish her own business.
She is always teaching and encouraging her kids to be loving, courteous, honest but most important to enjoy their age! We don't rush them to do anything, they participate in different activities according to their age, skills and experience.
We, as parents are the role models for our children, we need to constantly guide them, show them our respect and love.

Modeling it is not a superficial term. Being a model is not only how to be fashionable or how to look good. But also, it is how to show your perfect posture, perfect eye contact and other vital social behavior.
