Kay has always been interested in Art. She took her first oil painting lessons at the age of eleven, producing several paintings, two of which are displayed in her home.

While raising a family, some etchings were made of two growing sons, homes and cranes on the tile roof. Pencils and pastels were used for portability and quick set up.

After completing college in her thirties, she worked for several years in business, all the while maintaining her interest in drawing.

Several years ago, after watching the Bob Ross TV show, she was delighted to find a local class and signed up for each beautiful painting that was presented. Firmly hooked by now on "The Joy of Painting", she enrolled in the Bob Ross teacher training program, and now is certified to teach in floral, landscape, portrait and wildlife.

She encourages everyone with the desire in their hearts to be an artist to experience the joy of painting also.

It is a three hour class, offered once a month. Usually the second Saturday of each month.  Therefore, the instructors welcomes teenagers and adults to particpate.  There is no registration fee, just the class fee of $50.00  which includes all materials and  class instructions.  The day before the class is offered, is the last day to register with a $10.00 deposit towards your payment.  Call us if you need further information.
